The governing body of Munster is a five member Town Council elected at large from districts for four-year terms.

Munster is governed by a five person Town Council. The Town Council appoints a Town Manager, who is responsible for the day to day management of the town. The Town Manager is responsible for duties such as hiring of personnel, administration of the Munster's bidding process, and the overseeing of all the town's various departments.
