Can I put a large item out with my regular garbage?

Yes, one (1) large item is allowed with your regular garbage. Example items include a sofa, chair, mattress & box spring (together), desk, patio table, and an extra bag of garbage. Waste Management will not take TVs, microwaves, and large appliances. Construction debris WILL NOT be picked up. If you have an appliance needing pickup, call the Public Works Department at 219-836-6971 or 219-836-6970 by Tuesday for a Wednesday pick up.
