I am a contractor and need to pick up the meter(s) for a commercial building. What is the process?

You will start in the Community Development Department at 1005 Ridge getting a permit for the building and selecting the size meter for the building. The payment for the permit and meter will need to be paid in the Office of the Clerk-Treasurer. Once the meter is ordered and comes in, you will be notified and will need to make a deposit at the Office of the Clerk-Treasurer for water service and then go to the Public Works Department at 508 Fisher St to pick up the meter. Please bring your original receipt for the full payment of the meter, not the water deposit receipt. The Community Development's number is 219-836-6990.
