Town of Munster Indiana

On Thursday, March 12th the Munster Chamber of Commerce generously presented a donation to Officer James Ghrist of the Munster Police Department for $3,250 which will be used to purchase a "Nat the Knight" costume.  Nat the Knight (pictured below) is the official mascot of the National Night Out Against Crime (held each August) and will also be making appearances at various events throughout the year to promote police and community partnerships.

Munster's National Night Out event was ranked as the 8th best event in the United States in our population category last year and Nat the Knight will be making his debut for our 25th Anniversary Event scheduled for August 4th.

We would like to thank the Munster Chamber of Commerce for their generous support of our community policing efforts and look forward to working with them on future community projects and programs.
