Indiana Codes concerning Grills and Open Flame Cooking Dvices
Listed below are the Indiana Codes that apply to grills and open flame cooking devices. These apply to all multi-family dwellings.
Indiana Code 308.1.4 Open-flame cooking devices states: Charcoal burners and other open-flame cooking devices shall NOT be operated on combustible balconies or within 10 feet of combustible construction.
EXCEPTIONS:
One- and two-family dwellings
Where buildings, balconies and decks are protected by an automatic sprinkler system.
