The Munster Police Department and Choice Community Council invite any kids UP TO AGE 12 to participate in a Bike Safety Rodeo on Saturday, August 2nd from 10:00am to 11:30am at Frank Hammond Park. This FREE event is being held as part of the town's National Night Out week's activities to promote safety in Munster.
Participants are asked to bring their bicycle to the event. Please check in at the pavilion at the center of the track upon arrival, prior to 10:00am. The event will include bicycle registrations, bicycle safety tips from the Munster Police Department, a visit from K-9 Skye, and a chance for participants to enter a free drawing for a $200 gift card towards a new bicycle (sponsored by the Munster Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #147). Free bicycle helmets will be available for children who need them (while supplies last) from SafeKids Northwest Indiana, which will be set up on-site at the event.
