The Munster Police Department and Choice Community Council invite and encourage all residents to participate in Munster's 28th Annual National Night Out Against Crime Celebration.  Our event is consistently ranked as one of the top National Night Out events in the United States each year, including a #1 ranking in 2020.  Munster was also the only Indiana community to receive a national ranking in 2022 and our event attracted its highest attendance and number of booth participants ever.

The event will be immediately preceded with a COMMUNITY PARADE at 4:30pm on Columbia Avenue in front of Wilbur Wright Middle School and Munster High School which will include police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, safety mascots, student groups, and community organizations.

The MAIN CELEBRATION will begin at 5:00pm at and around the area of the Munster Community Pool, located at 8837 Calumet Avenue, with a performance of the National Anthem.  Scheduled activities include free swimming*, games, door prizes, K-9 demonstrations, a helicopter landing, many booth participants, special guests, The Magic of John Measner, emergency vehicle displays, student performances, food, safety mascots, giveaways, a blood drive, and an awesome FIREWORKS SHOW sponsored by

Krazy Kaplans
