Event Description:

Will you answer the call? North Township Trustee Frank Mrvan challenges you to participate in the 4th Annual North Township Battle for Blood.

Support your community and join the Battle for Blood on Thursday, June 26. Two convenient locations, Wicker Park in Highland 8 am to 7:30 pm and Mayor's office in East Chicago 9 am to 3 pm.  The 4^th annual North Township Battle for Blood will pit five communities against each other to see who can contribute the most blood. Communities include:

·         East Chicago

·         Hammond

·         Highland

·         MUNSTER

·         Whiting

Our goal is to collect at least 100 pints of blood to help up to 300 patients in need. To date this community event has collected 780 units of blood helping to save up to 2340 patients in need.  Please donate and help spread the word.

This annual, good-natured rivalry among communities in North Township helps ensure the blood supply keeps pace with demand during the summer. By donating blood through the American Red Cross, you may give a hospital patient in need the most precious gift of all: life.

Give blood during the North Township Battle for Blood and receive a coupon for a free pint of Culver's Frozen Custard and free admission to Wicker Park's evening concert.
