My name is Officer Joseph Pacheco and I was assigned as the Munster Police Department's School Resource Officer in January 2009. I am currently assigned to Munster High School throughout the year, and my duties entail school security, tracking, monitoring, counseling, discipline and investigation of criminal activity on school property.
Students with information on recent or possible crime activity occurring on or around school grounds are encouraged to either contact me or to call the Munster Police Department's Crime Tip Hotline at 836-1010. In both cases you can remain anonymous.
I also serves as the Senior Post Advisor the Munster Police Explorers, which is a community service organization for young people ages 14-21 who are interested in law enforcement. Come see me if you would like more information on this program or if you'd like to pick up an application.
