DRUG INVESTIGATION & ARREST

On Thursday, June 26th, 2008, the Munster Police Department executed a search warrant on a residence located at 8647 Baring Avenue in Munster and recovered cocaine, drug paraphernalia and materials used to package drugs from the residence. The search was based upon the results of a month long undercover investigation conducted by the department's tactical patrol unit involving the illegal sale of cocaine and other controlled substances from the residence.
The Munster Police Department arrested the resident of the house and on Friday, June 27th, 2008, the Lake County Prosecutors Office charged Paul M. MICENKO, age 31, of 8647 Baring Avenue in Munster with the following offenses;
1. Three counts of dealing in cocaine, a class B felony;
2. One count of possession of cocaine, a class D felony; and
3. One count of possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony.
MICENKO was arrested at his residence and is currently being held at the Lake County Jail with out bond.
