Complaints
Complaints about a missed street, displaced mailbox, damaged sod, or any other problem related to snow and ice removal should be directed to the Public works Office at 836-6970.
Medical Emergencies
If a medical or some other emergency arises and you are snowed in, call 911 and the necessary equipment will be dispatched.
Plowed-In
When persons are inadvertently plowed into a space or their driveway has snow plowed into it, citizens are asked to do whatever they can to open up their private drive themselves. During snowstorms it is not possible to plow the street without plowing snow against parked cars or into driveway entrances. The Town needs to provide the greatest service for the greatest number at any one time.
Responsibility for Removing Snow and Ice around Buildings and Businesses
The owner of a business or an apartment building is responsible for cleaning off sidewalks and areas around their buildings. No person shall deposit or place any snow or ice resulting from clearing operations upon any street or sidewalk.
