Refund Policy

Munster Parks and Recreation is committed to providing the highest quality recreation activities, events, and programs. If a person is not completely satisfied with a program or service due to circumstances under the department's control, Munster Parks and Recreation will arrange for the person to repeat the class at no charge, use the credit toward another program during the same season, or receive a refund.

A Full Refund Will Be Granted . . .

1. If a participant is dissatisfied with a Munster Parks and Recreation class, program or activity due to circumstances under the department's control.  Refund requests must be made prior to the midpoint of the class, program or activity.
2. If the refund is initiated by Munster Parks and Recreation (i.e. cancelled class, low enrollment).
3. For injury or illness, with a doctor's note.  (Once a program has begun, only a prorated fee for classes that have met will be charged. 
4. On Trips or Shows if the seat can be resold to a waitlisted person or if Munster Parks and Recreation cancels the trip or show.  $10 service charge applies.

All Other Refunds (unless otherwise noted)

1. Refunds will be issued prior to the start of a program if the program enrollment is greater than the minimum, minus a $10 service charge per program plus the cost of supplies (if applicable).
2. After the start of the program, no refund will be issued except for illness/injury, accompanied by a doctor's note.

Refunds will not be granted for the following:  schedule conflicts, vacations, special events, tickets, coupons, field reservations, and Social Center fees.

The original receipt and the refund request form must accompany any request for a refund.  If you are unable to find your original receipt, a copy of your cancelled check or a refund affidavit form will be accepted.  Both the refund request and refund affidavit forms are available at the Town Hall Munster Parks and Recreation Office or can be accessed atwww.munster.org.
