| Q. | Will the chairs be set up for my rental? |
| A. | A site supervisor will be assigned to all weddings and larger events. 50 white chairs are available for weddings, and will be set up by the site supervisor prior to the group arriving. |
| Q. | Are alcoholic beverages or fireworks allowed? |
| A. | Alcoholic beverages and fireworks are not allowed at Heritage Park. |
| Q. | Can I add additional time to the rental after a reservation is made? |
| A. | Yes, but only if the time is available, and the site supervisor assigned to the rental is able to work the additional time. The Heritage Park curfew is dusk. |
| Q. | Am I responsible for cleaning the Gazebo after the rental? |
| A. | Yes. Renters are to clean the gazebo and park area after use. The site supervisor will also assist and go through a cleaning checklist with the group prior to leaving. |
| Q. | What if weather prevents the rental from occurring? Do I get a refund?

| A. | Inclement weather is the only exception in which a refund will be made. If inclement weather prevents your rental from being held, the fee minus an administrative charge will be refunded. The rental can also be rescheduled

| Q. | May I enter the building earlier than the time I have it rented?
|
| A. | No. You are not permitted to enter the building until your scheduled start time. If you do enter the building early, you will automatically forfeit the cleaning/security deposit and be charged a minimum of one (1) hour additional time.

| Q. | May I set up the Social Center any way I want?
|
| A. | As a general rule, the Social Center can be set up in any way that the renter would like, as long as it is returned to the way it was when the renter arrived. Decorations are allowed, as long as they do no damage, and are taken down at the end of the rental. DJ's and bands are allowed at rentals.

| Q. | What number do I call in the event of a problem at the shelter? |
| A. | If there is a problem at the shelter, please call the Munster Police Department at 836-6600 (non-emergency). They will notify the appropriate parks and recreation department staff. |
| Q. | What if our group shows up to the shelter at the scheduled time and another group is using the shelter? |
| A. | It is recommended that groups bring a copy of the rental agreement to the shelter in the event this situation occurs. Calmly show the agreement to the person in charge. If problems persist, please call the police non-emergency number for assistance. |
| Q. | Does Munster Parks and Recreation offcer programs or activities designed especially for seniors? |
| A. | Munster Parks & Recreation offers the "Keen Agers" program for seniors age 55 and older. "Keen Agers" are eligible for activities, trips, parties and discount programs. Call Munster Parks & Recreation for more information at 836-6920. |
| Q. | Will all the tables and chairs be set up for my rental?

| A. | The Community Park Social Center is a multi-use building with different kinds of setups depending on group use. Munster Parks and Recreation has tables and chairs to accommodate most rentals. Depending on the group size, and prior use of the building, all the tables and chairs may not be set up. We recommend allowing time to set up the tables and chairs to fit your individual needs. The site supervisor will assist you. |
| Q. | Are alcoholic beverages or smoking allowed?

| A. | Alcoholic beverages are allowed for individuals 21 years of age and older. Alcohol is allowed in the building and on the patio. Alcohol is not allowed outside the front door of the building or in the park. Smoking is not permitted in the Social Center. Smoking is allowed on the patio or outside the building.

| A. | Yes. There is a complete kitchen for set up of food/catering available for your use. |

| A. | If the Town of Munster schools are closed due to bad weather, all Munster Parks and Recreation programs will also be cancelled for the day. You can get up to date information about cancellations by calling the Parks Hotline at 836-6927. |
| Q. | Can I camp on park property? |
| A. | No. Campiing is not allowed on park property. |

| A. | Charcoal or gas grills are allowed. Any waste from the grills, however, must be taken out of the park by the renter. |
| Q. | How can I pay for Parks and Recreation programs I want to register for? |
| A. | You can make fee payments three (3) ways:
In person: You can pay in person at the Parks and Recreation Department at Town Hall between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
Mail-In: Complete the registration form and mail together with a check made payable to the Town Of Munster, to Munster Parks and Recreation, 1005 Ridge Road, Munster, IN 46321. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you would like a receipt.
Drop-Off: Place registration form and payment in an envelope and drop it in the blue "Water Bill" drop box located in the town Hall parking lot.

| Q. | Can I reserve space in a program and pay later to make sure space is available? |
| A. | Due to the number of persons wishing to take part in Munster Parks & Recreation programs, no registration or reservation requests are accepted without payment. |

| Q. | Can I register for a class, program or trip after the deadline date? |
| A. | Sometimes. But is is always best to register in advance to ensure your participation or that a class is not cancelled. Some programs such as soccer and Fitness Pointe Classes have strict deadlines as well as any "early bird" specials. |
| Q. | Do you accept credit cards? |
| A. | Yes, Master Card and Visa credit cards. Credit cards are not accepted over the phone. |
| Q. | Can I have an outing at a shelter without a contract? |
| A. | Yes. If your group is under 25 people and the shelter is not reserved by another party. All groups of 25 or more must reserve the shelters in advance. |

| Q. | What programs does Munster Parks and Recreation offer teens? |
| A. | Munster Parks & Recreation offers a wide variety of programs designed for teenagers, by teenagers. Munster Parks & Recreation works with a Teen Advisory Board to plan activities that appeal to teens. The Teen Council also volunteers at some Munster Parks & Recreation activities.
