The Munster Police Department and CHOICE Community Council invite all residents and business representatives to attend this year's annual National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at the Munster Community Pool.
Last year, a huge number of residents came out to participate in a number of events and attractions centered at community interaction, fun, and crime prevention. In addition, several area residents were presented with Citizenship Awards for their hard work during the past year in their respective neighborhoods. (*Swimming is free for Munster residents with ID and their children, others must pay the usual admission; **Door prizes are eligible for Munster residents only ages 16 and older; ***Great food is available at the Munster Community Pool concession stand at a cost.)
We hope to have another great attendance this year. Whether you attend or not, please turn on your porch light in support of this year's event on the night of August 3rd.
The Munster Police Department and Choice Community Council are currently seeking sponsors for this year's event. If you are interested in making a donation, there are two ways that you can help support us this year:
1. Monetary Donation - Please send checks made payable to the Munster Police Department (memo line: NNO) and send them to the Munster PD, c/o Officer James Ghrist, 1001 Ridge Rd - Munster IN 46321.
2. Door Prize Donation - We ask that door prize donations be provided IN COUPON, GIFT CARD, OR LETTER FORM for easier storage and awarding purposes on the night of the event. Door prizes can also be sent to the Munster PD (address above) in care of Officer Ghrist.
In order to be listed on advertising flyers this summer, please send in your donation prior to June 20, 2010. Sponsors will also be listed on the town website and on a poster near the main entrance to the event on August 3rd. Thank you in advance for your support and participation.
