Town of Munster Indiana

The Munster Police Department would like to thank everyone who participated in their recent "Coffee with a Cop" Event on Saturday, October 11th at McDonald's in Munster.  A number of residents of all ages stopped in that morning to have breakfast or coffee with some of our officers and to discuss concerns, ask questions, or just to meet some members of our police department. 

"Django", the department's K-9, was also on site for residents to take an up-close look at and kids were able to check out the inside of a patrol vehicle.  Officers also handed out sticker badges and other small toys to children who participated that morning.  Several residents signed up with the Neighborhood Crime Watch Program while at the event as well.

The Munster Police Department would also like to thank Bob Mazzaro, owner and operator of the Munster McDonald's, for allowing us to use his business as a site for this event and for his continued support of several community policing programs throughout the year including Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.).  We look forward to holding future "Coffee with a Cop" Events and hope to see many residents at our next one, which will be held in 2015.
