Natural / Historic Parks
1051 Ridge Road
Located at the corner of Ridge Road and Columbia Avenue, this landscaped park has three metal sculptures that depict the history of the Calumet Region (American Indian, Farmer, and Steel Worker). The Munster Rotary Club donated the sculptures in 1976 as a part of the U.S. Bicentennial Celebration.
1154 Ridge Road
Located at the southeast corner of Ridge Road and Columbia Avenue, this historical park offers a gazebo and forested area which is ideal for weddings, anniversaries and family gatherings. It is also home to Munster Parks and Recreation's summer concert series "Sounds at Sunset." The Kaske House founded on this property has been historically restored and in 1998 was listed in the Historical Register. It is currently operated by the Munster Historical Society and exhibits a small museum. Future plans for this site include the continuation of public tours of the Kaske House as well as recreational, historical and nature programming.
BIEKER WOODS NATURE AREA
